SU Elections - Nominations Open Today - 24th Feb - at 4pm
UCD Students’ Union elects six full time Sabbatical Officers and nine part-time College Officers each year. Together they are known as the Executive.
Elections for the 2020 / 2021 academic year will take place on 1-2 April 2020.
Whether you are interested in representing students, campaigning and activism, projecting student voices, helping students with academic issues, helping students in a crisis, putting on events that students will love or sitting on boards and changing University policies, there is a place here for you. Bring your ideas and spend a year making them a reality. The power is in your hands.
So - Who can run? Who can vote? How does it all work?
In short, you can run and you can vote - all students can! This is your Union and you have the right to have your voice heard, by running an election yourself or by voting or both! To learn all about it visit https://ucdsu.ie/yourvoice/elections/ and come along to our SU Election events this week.

SU Elections Workshop – Empowering Diversity
Wednesday 26 February
5pm-7pm Quad Room, Old Student Centre
This year we want to empower all students to run for election. UCD has over 32,000 students, which means we have students from all backgrounds. UCDSU needs to have a diverse Executive in order to represent the diverse needs of our students.
The SU Elections Empowering Diversity Workshop will take place on Wednesday 26th February in the Quad Room at 5pm. It is aiming to empower students who feel their voice is underrepresented in the Union and to encourage diverse candidates to run campaigns.
The workshop will go through campaign strategy, public speaking and allow attendees to ask any questions they may have. We hope it will give you all the tools and confidence you need to run a strong campaign.
We strongly encourage women, LGBTQ+ students, international students, students from diverse backgrounds, students with a disability, sanctuary students, access students and all students to run for Executive Roles.
